Fishing Report 5/20/15

 

 

 

 

  • Lake Almanor: Lake temps are in the mid to upper 50's;  Smallmouth are on the bite; crawdad paterns are working well. Midge hatches are happening, with pods of rainbow after them. Brown trout still hitting minnow paterns.  
  • Butt Valley Res.  Midge are hatching in main lake. Smallies are biting. Stream and power house open Saturday.
  • Eagle Lake: Opens Saturday; low water conditions.
  • Susan River: Open, fish now before it drops much.   
  • North Fork of the Feather: Opens Saturday summertime levels
  • Warner Creek: Opens Saturday low condition.
  • Deer Creek: Open, in good shape. Good dry fly action in the afternoon. 
  • Mill Creek: Open, fishing in the morning is best.  
  • Hamilton Branch: Some fish are in lower section were lake begins.
  • Yellow Creek: Open and is in good shape.   
  • Goodrich Creek: Opens Saturday but low.
  • Upper Lakes: Sliver is worth checking out; Crater fishing well.
  • Antelope Lake: Lake is full and fish are on the bite.
  • Walker and Round Valley: Bass are starting to bite.
