Fishing Report 4/23/15

 

 

 

 

  • Lake Almanor: Lake temps are in the low 50's;  Smallmouth are in the shallows and on the bite; crawdad paterns are working well. Midge hatches are starting to happen with pods of rainbow after them. Brown trout still hitting minnow paterns.  
  • Butt Valley Res.  Midge are hatching in main lake. Smallies are biting.
  • Eagle Lake: Closed.
  • Susan River: Opens Saturday April 25th; fish now before it drops much.   
  • North Fork of the Feather: Closed until end of May.
  • Warner Creek: Closed until end of May.
  • Deer Creek: Opens Saturday April 25th; in good shape.  
  • Mill Creek: Opens Saturday April 25th; fish in the morning is best.  
  • Hamilton Branch: Fish are in lower section were lake begins.
  • Yellow Creek: Open Saturday April 25th and is in good shape.   
  • Goodrich Creek: Closed.   
  • Upper Lakes: Closed until snow melts off. 
  • Antelope Lake: Lake is full and fish are on the bite.
  • Walker and Round Valley: Bass are starting to bite.
