Fishing Report for the Lake Almanor Basin and neighboring waters

Lot's of water this year and lakes are full. Stream will take awhile to get in fishing shape. Looking foward

Lake Almanor - the center piece of our waters. Trout, small and large mouth bass.
Lake surface temps are in the mid to high 50's and lake is pretty full. Fishing really picking up. Rainbows are on midges and fly ants, Brown mostly on streamers and Bass are on beds or moving off.
Butt Valley Reservoir - situated above Lake Almanor
Lake is coming up almost full: powerhouse closed until memorial weekend. Fishing been good between boat ramp and dam. Midges and streamers; temps in higher 50's
Eagle Lake - a popular destination for the famous Eagle Lake Trout.
Eagle Lake: Open Memorial weekend and has come up almost two feet.
Private Waters - Lassen Meadows - a private ranch minutes from the shop in Chester, CA. Special entrance fee and guiding required. Ideal for all experience anglers.
Upper Lakes -
Still snowed in.
Upper Feather River and Warner Creek- the beginning of our watershed with many feeder springs and streams. Early evening guiding avaialble.
Yellow Creek - A remote stream accessed from the West side of Lake Almanor.
Open and running clear some small hatches; afternoon is the best.
Deer Creek - Open, clear and high.Bwo's and march brown
hatching in the afternoon. Nymph good all day.
